Inscribe on Rare Sat with Sating.io and Sparrow

Guide To Inscribe

1/1 SATs:

Please note that this guide assumes you have already acquired your rare/vintage SATs and have them stored in a wallet (preferably Sparrow Wallet).

  1. Import your Sparrow Wallet to a UniSAT Wallet: You need to use the UniSAT Wallet extension because the website you'll be using only supports UniSAT Wallet. Open the UniSAT Wallet extension and click on "HD Wallet" in the top right corner. Then click the "+" sign to open a new tab and choose "Restore Wallet using 12 words". Select the option for the wallet where you have your SATs stored (in this case, Sparrow Wallet). Enter your 12-word seed phrase from Sparrow Wallet to import it successfully.

  2. Set your imported wallet to Taproot: Open the UniSAT Wallet extension and click on the gear icon in the bottom right corner. Then click on "Address Type" and select "Taproot" from the list. This is necessary because you can't store inscriptions on native addresses.

  3. Load your imported wallet with BTC: Make sure you have enough BTC in your imported wallet to cover the inscription. Send BTC to the taproot address of your imported wallet. It's recommended to have at least $50 worth of BTC.

  4. Visit the Sating.io website: Go to the Sating.io website where you can inscribe your SATs.

  5. Connect your UniSAT Wallet: Connect your UniSAT Wallet to the Sating.io website. Make sure you connect the imported Sparrow Wallet.

  6. Locate your SATs: In the top right corner of the webpage, click on your wallet number and then select "My Account". Scroll down until you see "Interesting SATs." You should find your SATs listed there with a SAT range, for example, "Sat range 1430418550380–1430418550504".

  7. Search for your specific SAT: Underneath the "Interesting SATs" section, you'll find a search tab labeled "All SATs." Copy the last number of your SAT range (e.g., 1430418550504) and paste it into the search tab. Press enter.

  8. Select your SAT: The specific SAT you entered should appear in yellow. Click on it to access a dedicated page for that SAT.

  9. Inscribe on your SAT: On the dedicated SAT page, you'll find a large "Inscribe" button at the top. Click on it.

  10. Check the SAT range: On the inscribe page, click on the "Sat Range Settings" button, represented by a little button icon. Make sure it shows your SAT you want to inscribe plus 546 in red. This indicates you have entered the correct SAT range and won't risk losing your other SATs.

  11. Fill in the details: Complete the necessary details on the inscribe page, such as adding your file and specifying the taproot wallet you want to send the inscription to. Make sure the destination wallet is also taproot, or you may lose the inscription.

  12. Submit the inscription: Once you have filled in all the details, click "Submit". You will be directed to your UniSAT Wallet to sign the transaction.

  13. Verify your inscription: After completing the inscription, you will receive an ID number. Copy this ID number and open the Ord.io website. Paste the ID in the search tab and click "Search". You should now see your inscription. If it doesn't appear immediately, check back after about an hour, as it may take some time to upload.

By following these steps, you should be able to successfully inscribe using 1/1 sats with Sating.io
