What is the .frens Protocol ? This is a social media on Bitcoin , created with the first Ordinals Soulbound Token. The .frens protocol enables an on-chain social graph for the Bitcoin community. You share your social connections by adding your friends' Bitcoin addresses using Ordinals inscriptions. Indexers identify .frens inscriptions and showcase the .frens network on their websites. How it works ? The protocol has 3 inscription functions: Deploy, Update, & Delete. It uses the inscription service by Ordbit hat requires connecting your Ordinals wallet. You can connect with Unisat_wallet XverseApp or Hirowallet Deploy : Connect your wallet, choose your Unique ID (this will be your .frens) and add your friends' Bitcoin addresses. Add the code you got on Discord as a beta tester. This is free mint pay only for transaction & inscription fee. (around 2$ for 10sats/vb) Update : Add new addresses to an existing .frens ID. These new addresses will be added to the existing .frens ID in the connected wallet. The protocol uses a separate function to save copying (and paying for) all previously inscribed addresses. Delete : Drop one or several addresses from an existing .frens ID in the connected wallet. Why to use ? ◉ Display your Bitcoin and Ordinals network to the community, showing how active and deeply connected you are. ◉ Unlike Web2 socials, it’s a decentralized & uncensorable network. ◉ Because we're still in the early stages, as it only costs $2, and there's potential for some really amazing things to be built!
